[…] 커다란 형태의 전도된 촛불처럼 보이는 버섯모양의 <Crying for You>(2009) 는 슬픔의 무게를 시각화하여 잘 보여주고 있다. 매달려있는 형태에서 눈물을 흘리는 듯 뚝뚝 떨어지는 모양의 하얀색 레진으로 만들어진 이 작 품은, 작가의 애도의 과정을 잘 보여주고 있다. 동시에 <Crying for You> 의 레진이 흘러내림으로 인해 탄생된, 이 작품과 짝을 이루는 <Painting by Sculpture (Crying for You)>(2009) 의 제작과정에 대한 경의의 표시이 다. 이렇게 서로 긴밀하게 연결된 두 작품은 작가 고유의 순회의 길로 보여진다. […] Like a large inverted candle, the mushroom-shaped Crying for You makes visible the weight of grief. White resin, as the artist's tears, drips from the suspended form, and Lee honors both the creative and mourning processes by making use of the white resin that has fallen from this sculpture onto the protective plastic on the floor to give life to its companion piece Painting by Sculpture (Crying for You). This related work reveals the artist's own circumambulating path as she layered resin onto the larger work.
